FIRST CONSTRUCTION WITH BIOBRICKS

Prodeman produced bricks made from peanut shell ash that were used in the expansion of a nursery.

The Municipality of General Cabrera inaugurated the new room of the Blancanieves Municipal Nursery, marking a milestone in sustainability as it is the first construction made with biobricks.

This innovative material was provided by Prodeman and is part of the company's sustainability strategy, which aims to transform the last waste generated in its production chain to reintroduce it into a new process as raw material.

The project, which began at the end of last year, required more than 6,000 units of these sustainable materials for the completion of a room and bathroom that complete the building. The biobricks, made from peanut shell ash, are obtained from the energy generation process by the business unit, OC Bio.

"It is a pride to be able to contribute from the private sector to the needs of the community with a sustainable perspective, betting on the circular economy," expressed Ivana Cavigliasso, a board member of Prodeman, who also highlights that the company's initial desire was for these materials to have a social purpose in their use.
