ARGENTINA, WORLD LEADER IN PEANUT EXPORTS

With a historic record of external sales, the country consolidates its global prominence in the sector.

Argentina became the world's leading exporter of peanuts by volume during the last campaign, with operations exceeding USD 1.190 billion, according to data from the Argentine Agency for Investments and International Trade (AAICI). This figure not only represents the highest value for the period 2002–2024 but also implies a 12% growth compared to the previous year.

The country accounted for 23% of the total exported globally, positioning itself above traditional powers such as India, China, the United States, and Brazil. In the last ten years, the value of Argentine peanut complex exports increased by 80%, with an 18% rise in volume. This performance placed the sector above other exporting chains such as steel, wine, fruit, and aluminum.

Of the total exported, 80.1% (USD 955 million) corresponded to raw shelled peanuts — both with skin and blanched; 12.2% to peanut preparations (roasted and butter); 7% to peanut oil; and 0.7% to derived by-products.

In this context, Prodeman plays a key role: it represents 10% of the total Argentine export market with over 140,000 tons processed annually and 45,000 hectares planted per campaign. The company maintains the European Union as the main destination for its products, consolidating a strategy of quality, traceability, and innovation that supports this national leadership.
