NEW TRIALS IN CROPMIX
Prodeman launched tests with cover crops to continue improving its productive practices.
As part of its commitment to innovation and sustainability, Prodeman has initiated a new series of trials with cover crops in its experimental field CropMix. The goal is to explore combinations of species that help improve soil quality and more efficiently support crop rotation.
These trials allow for the analysis of mixtures adapted to different types of plots, focusing on optimizing water use, preventing erosion, improving soil structure, and naturally providing nutrients. The species used include grasses and legumes, applied according to the productive history of each plot.
"These practices allow us to move towards more regenerative production, with agronomic decisions made not only for the next crop but for the future of the system," said Carlos Faricelli, Head of Marketing and Innovation in Primary Production.
This initiative is part of Prodeman's ongoing search for agricultural practices that generate value throughout the chain and ensure a more balanced, resilient, and long-term production.
