ECOAMIGOS: WE COLLECTED OVER 500 KG OF ELECTRONIC WASTE

The electronic waste recycling campaign exceeded our expectations, reinforcing the community's and peanut companies' environmental commitment

Once again, the third edition of Ecoamigos made a turning point in General Cabrera. With a high community participation and strong support from local companies, this campaign succeeded in collecting more than 5,000 kilograms of electrical and electronic waste—a new record for this developing project-.

This event is organized by the Ecoamigos group—which consists of the local council and peanut companies such as Prodeman, Cotagro, Copesp, Grupo Cavigliasso, Insa Indelma, Maniagro Argentina, Cleanergy, JLA, and Instituto Cruz del Sur—.The campaign’s main goal is to promote responsible recycling and reduce the environmental impact of technological waste. This year, citizens, schools and government staff played a key role, bringing their disused devices to specific drop-off points.

“What makes this campaign unique is the collective energy behind it. Every company, every neighbor, every kid who joined in was crucial to achieve these results. At Prodeman, we believe environmental care is built through particular actions and Ecoamigos is one of them,” said Melina Cristofolini, head of Institutional Relations at Prodeman.

This campaign not only helped to collect hazardous waste such as batteries, cellphones, and household electronics, but also raised awareness about the importance of responsible consumption and proper management of tech waste.

With results that overcame previous editions, Ecoamigos is now one of the most relevant environmental projects in the region, since it leads to a cultural shift towards sustainability. For Prodeman, actions like this are fully aligned with its Sustainability Plan and its vision of promoting an agroindustry committed to our environment.
