CROPMIX HOSTED THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA

Professors from the University of Minnesota toured Prodeman’s experimental field and highlighted the role of peanuts in crop rotation systems

Cropmix, Prodeman’s experimental field, continues to establish itself as a benchmark space for agricultural innovation. As part of its partnership with Bayer under the ForwardFarming platform, it welcomed for the first time a group of professors from the University of Minnesota, who were eager to gain firsthand insight into the dynamics of peanut production and its impact on crop rotation in the region.

During the visit, the academics toured trial plots, reviewed agronomic management strategies, and exchanged knowledge with Prodeman’s technical team. The day provided a valuable dialogue on best agricultural practices, sustainability, and efficiency in productive systems.

“These exchanges strengthen Cropmix’s core purpose as a learning space and a hub for applied agricultural knowledge,” noted members of the technical team, who actively engaged in discussions with the visitors.

In addition to the field tour, key topics included the integration of peanuts into rotation schemes and their contributions to soil health, productivity, and sustainability. The meeting reaffirmed the importance of connecting scientific research with hands-on fieldwork.
