ALLIANCE TO MEASURE CARBON FOOTPRINT

Prodeman reinforces its commitment to sustainability and expands the measurement of its CO2 emissions alongside Plataforma PUMA.

The nut company announced a strategic alliance with Plataforma Puma to improve the accuracy of its carbon footprint calculation and align it with international standards. This initiative will allow the company to optimize the management of its CO₂ emissions, making more effective decisions to minimize its environmental impact.

The collaboration with Puma began in the Primary Production sector, where measurement was already being conducted within the agricultural sector. From now on, the platform will also cover the industrial sector, enabling Prodeman to measure its entire production chain, from the field to the industry.

"What is not measured accurately cannot be improved, and at Prodeman, we choose to improve," emphasized Gabriel Rodríguez, the company's Environmental Manager.

Among the concrete actions to reduce its carbon footprint, Prodeman has its OC Bio energy generation plant, inaugurated in 2017, which allows it to offset part of its emissions. Additionally, the company continues to invest in sustainability to establish itself as a benchmark in the agro-industrial sector.

Plataforma PUMA, an Argentine startup founded in 2019, developed an innovative Environmental Monitoring Platform with international certifications. Its technology allows for precise measurement of the carbon footprint associated with agro-industrial activities, contributing to more sustainable production.
