Almost the complete amount of the raw material used is produced under the control of Prodeman.
A successful sowing depends on the correct preparation of the soil and on a correct planting using high quality seeds. Checked “High Oleic Runner” type seeds are used. Nowadays a high amount of “Granoleic” variety is used.
Taking care of the soil as a non-renewable resource:
First, the reduced tillage is made. This is one of the recommended methods to take care of the soil and its properties. This way it is possible to reduce the amount of activities on the soil in comparison to the conventional tillage. This method leaves a residue cover on the soil, which reduces the water evaporation, the organic matter loss and carbon dioxide production.
When extraction time arrives, the objective is to reduce humidity. The 4 per 2's system is used, which rotates simultaneously 4 peanut rows. As a result, 2 rows work together. This way, only two plants support each other, and a smooth drying is achieved. However, we also use the 4 per 1's system, which is a classic method in Argentina.
Threshing is done with modern machinery, most of it American, which allows the early peanut harvest. Trucks or containers move the peanut to the processing plant for the production conditioning.
Four different drying systems are used, depending on the peanut humidity level. All the systems are controlled from a computer centre. The processing plant has its own Climate Control System that gives all the necessary information for an efficient drying process.
Gathering is done in appropriate cells, pollutant free. This way only healthy, clean and dry peanut is gathered.
It is obtained from a process in special ovens, which are huge sized and technologically advanced. Afterwards, the tegument is set apart by blanching machines. Later, electronic and manual systems are used for the selection.
Prodeman has cold technologically advanced warehouses. Inside, the two most important variants to obtain quality are controlled: temperature and humidity.
They work with two plants in the same area which provide both high production level and high security.
